Eric,
thanks for the heads up on the info on Gorilla Glue. A lot of site mention that they use it with bees and that its food safe once it cures, but it seems like Titebond 3 is the safer waterproof glue option

thx johanna,

5 frame hives are called Nucs, short for nucleus, they are meant for breeding queens, catching swarms, and other specialized uses.

if you want to have bees, you should get either a 10 frame hive or an 8 frame hive, either one should have a screened bottom board.

i'll be doing a post about what i think a beginning beekeeper should purchase.

thx, eric.
