I just watched this episode last night on my iPhone. I *think* the “fruit dump” you mentioned is the same Dump Cake or “Cherry Crap” my wife makes. It is just a yellow cake mix, cherry pie filling, pineapples and a sliced stick of butter just dumped into a baking dish. The flavor is just amazing. If you want her recipe just let me know.
Off to the store to buy a Dutch oven.
