Your podcast on homemade applesauce reminded me of how good homemade applesauce is versus the over-processed canned type. Since there are just 2 of us in our family, I cut down on the apples and added a few twists of my own. I add a bit of fresh squeezed lemon juice and 1/4 tsp or less of vanilla (definitely no more or it will overpower the end result). It came out great and there was enough for 2 meals for the both of us. Thanks for reminding me of this great, easy to make good.
