  1. Hi, my name is, Jeremiah I’m 29 years old and I live in Atascocita Texas (it’s north of Houston.) How are you doing? I really like how you are trying to influence a good ting…your clips that you star in are very practical and they also are very informative. I love them!
I wanted to say that this past year in Oct. of 2010 I had come to terms with something that I had been keeping a secret from my family for more than 23 years. I had decided that I couldn’t live any longer keeping what I hadn’t shared with everyone a secret. So after going on a very very emotional roller coaster ride I decided that it was time to do some things that I had been wanting to do for quite some time. I set a few goals and one of them being recycling. After accomplishing a few others I tried to figure out where I was going to keep all of my recycling located in my apartment. I didn’t want it to be an eyesore, and I wanted it to be something that I wasn’t going to get tired of. I wanted to recycle for years and I just hadn’t gotten around to actually doing it at home. I would do it outside of my apartment like at work and where ever else I could. So after weeks of trying to come up with an idea, my therapist suggested I should just use some cardboard boxes. I liked the idea so mush that I took the idea and ran with it. I was so excited because it was like killing two birds with one stone…I was able to “Re-use” the cardboard boxes (Oh Yeah!) and begin my recycling adventure. When I was at work one day a coworker of mine had a few nice cardboard boxes that she was going to re-purpose. At that very second I had an Ahhh Ha moment! I asked where she found them and she showed me and I grabbed three of them. I later went home and found the perfect place for them where they wouldn’t be an eyesore, and I would be able to use them for my adventure. So after months of recycling I had so much that I filled my trunk to the brim, the patio closet where I had that perfect place for them was overflowing, and I had a few piles in my living room. (I just watched your video about mpg and the junk in the trunk so I know now.) Once I couldn’t possibly add anything else to the boxes without other recycling falling on the ground I decided it was time to take it to the place where there had been a recycling dumpster for years. Of course when I got there it wasn’t there anymore, so I was left with a car full of recycling. I searched and searched for a place to take it and I wasn’t having any luck. Then my friend told me she had a huge brand new city provided trash can only meant for recycling. So that’s now where I take it, and it is full every time I leave…so full that I sometimes don’t have enough room for the rest of my recycling. I was wondering since you’re such an advocate for Being “Green” if maybe you knew of a way that I might have luck in getting a closer and more efficient way of getting my recycling in a recycling bin? How would I go about getting my apartment complex in getting our own recycling dumpster, and if not at my complex then somewhere where everyone can use it for sure? Or I thought maybe you might know someone who has a louder voice than I have that could get a recycling bin closer to where I live? And if you don’t that’s cool, just thought I would share my story with you. I accomplished my goal and it would be an even greater story if I had a much closer location to drop off my recycling at.

Thanks so very much and stay “GREEN!”

    Jeremiah
