As part of our series of beginning beekeeping videos, here we did a hive inspection this summer. Bees are easy to raise, you just have to maintain a few things thru the season, and a few hive inpsections are necessary. Watch here how how are learning to raise bees and become beekeepers.

What great fun watching you learn about bees. Yes every beekeeper has an opinion of what and how to do things, best for you is to try and find what works best for you. Here in Alaska I am one of a group of few but growing who actively over winter our bees rather than kill them off every year. It is a learning process.
Please keep up the great work and keep the videos coming, I wish they buffered better, the advertisements are perfect, no breaks at all but the video is very broken.
I do not smoke the bees, nor wear veil or suit unless it is a bad day or very cool.

I just love your bee tv. I am less than amateur, much much worse than you! - awaiting my first package of bees. I love how clumsy you are in your bee endeavors- sadly, so much like myself- looking forward to the sting of reality. But- that's your (my) charm...I hope
Thanks for the humor! And wish me luck. Great videos!

It is very refreshing to see people starting out with bees, the fact that you made mistakes and are learning from them makes me feel like there are people like me in the world. I have been thinking of entering the world of beekeeping, and you guys make me feel like I won't be alone! And it's awesome to learn from people going through the same challenges as me, not someone who says 'you just do it this way, it's the way I do it.'

      Thank you!

Hi great watching you. Just a bit of advice from someone who has had a mega attack by the little devils from one of my hives. Make sure you wear boots preferably wellies as they do tend to go for the ankles and also make sure you tuck in your pants inside the wellies the bees will only go up.

Keep up the good work. 🙂
