Thanks! I am having a hard time finding a nice, easy kit in my area, so I will probably get the all the items individually from Amazon. I guess people in my area are not as hip on clothesline systems. I have a smaller line now, but want a longer one in our side yard...near the road...to make a point! 🙂

We put up our clothesline two years ago and have been saving about two hundred dollars a year. We have an electric house, thus an electric clothes dryer.
We have a lot of pine trees on our property. I tied the lines between two trees aproximately 40ft apart hanging about 8ft off the ground. You need the height to help keep sheets and other large items off the ground. I used heavy duty springs on each end of each line to keep the lines tight. The eighty feet is just about enough to get two loads of laundry out. I our area of the country, laundry takes about an hour to dry, heavy towels take a little longer.
If you have allergies, like my wife, once the clothes are dry, tumble them in the dryer for 15-20 mins to help remove the dust and pollen.
The down sides of drying on a clothesline are, streaching, fading, dust, pollen, rain, wind blowing the clothes off the line, really cheaply made clothes pins (spend more than two bucks per package) and the darn dogs pulling the clothes off the line.
I have no problem hanging my Batman speedo's out for the neighbors to admire.
Our family really enjoys your show. We would like to meet the camera person once though.

Hi Eric, could you please post the manufacturer of the clothesline kit you used? I can't seem to find one that comes with a tightener.

      Thanks mate!
