I would love to learn more about canning and dehydrating. I do hot water bath canning but would love to see about using a pressure cooker/canner. I also have a dehydrator but haven't used it. I'm wondering what can be dried other than apple chips and then wonder what to do with them afterwards.

Thanks Eric (and camera operator). Keep up the great work!

      Greetings Eric (and camera operator!),

I'd like to see a show on building a simple compost bin/bins, nothing real fancy or expensive, just something that is practical and easily utilized. Also, do you have any experience with vermiculture?

Looking forward to the video on the kitchen island!
      Thanks, Grace

I love all your shows, even the ones about stuff ill never do...well pump and fender repair, etc.
so have you ever made a compost barrel, like the kind you rotate? Been looking up YouTube tutos and was bummed that there wasn't one from GF, my go-to DIY guru. Also am thinking of making a rain barrel or a system of joined ones (for catching I flows) complete with screens and spigots. Mine would probably be gravity powered as my garden is downhill from my garage. It would be cool to see your version of a rain barrel. Glad you're back and can't wait for more new videos. Love love love your hardwood floor (there at the end of this vid)

I'd like to see Eric and the Camera Operator show any activity outside in the yard at any time of year. The cooking segments are especially interesting, indoors and out.

Labs, of course. Plus a show on why dogs are better than kids.
What I'd really like to see here is a forum board. I have some thoughts for Julie's rain barrel setup. Or, maybe we could posts some pics on our projects.

It would be great to do a show on making a bat house. It seems like a pretty simple job out of plywood and is super helpful for our declining bat population.

How about making soap bars and/or laundry soap? Both seem more expensive than it's worth doing but if the end product is good -- seems worthwhile.

And will your "camera operator" ever be revealed??

How about making beer/wine, or fermented hot pepper sauce?
Maybe making air dried meats like salami or cheese?

Thanks for all the videos, radio, articles you have already given us. You make GREAT videos! I agree with the above. I would love to see some how to/DIYs on mushroom growing and various canning/preserving.
Just bought our first house and next spring we will have our first garden set up. Would love to learn more about saving and storing our someday crop.
Also... you are my bread HERO! I use the method with our Dutch Oven regularly. So we always want more cooking videos. And with a new house (that is almost 100 years old) the fix this and that videos REALLY help!

Thanks and pet the pups for me.

      To heck with it!
Hi camera operator - and Eric.

How about dehydrating and vacuum sealing the dehydrated foods? Also, home made vacuum sealer, maybe using a pressure cooker and vacuum pump?
What is the difference of storage time between dehydrated - dehydrated and vacuum sealed - and canned food (hot water or pressure canned)?

And - don't forget the labs! (as though you would!!)

First off, love the podcast ! My 3 year old and I are watching all the time now, his fave is the plywood boat and the dogs of course.

Can you do one on refrigerator repair? We just had a repair guy come and replace all our freon because they said that was the problem, no freon. Now 3 weeks later we have a non cooling refrigerator again. I would live to know the ins and outs or repairing one of these standard appliance.

      Keep up the great work!!

How about keeping your garden tools in good shape and what is the best way to keep them sharp. Also, how to do butterfly gardens as well as rain gardens. Thanks.
