Leaving the phone call in was classic! Very funny, thanks.

Don't change a thing!! I like the realness of the show--mistakes, side comments, and dogs barking included! I like feeling like I'm part of the conversation. If you clean it up, then I would just be listening and not participating which makes a huge difference.

Hey, here's a great granola recipe from one of my favorite sites Path to Freedom/Dervaes Family: http://urbanhomestead.org/journal/2008/12/16/skillet-granola/

You might also like to watch the Dervaes' urban gardening YouTube video to get a little background info: http://www.youtube.com/dervaes

I think GF is the everyman's version of A Prairie Home Companion.

Thanks for all the great laughs and info!

quick question about tomatoes & pests?

it seams that some small animal is eating my tomatoes. any ideas on how to prevent them from doing so. i think it could be chipmonks. is that possible? what type of fencing would you suggest?

      thanks allen

      Hi Allen,

I would suggest chicken wire or even some metal screen to keep little fuzzy pest out of your tomatoes. I'm having the same problem but my pest is 120# dog.
