      Hi everyone,

About edible flowers, rose petals are edible -remove the little white bit at the bottom- but more importantly for a savory edible flower try Borage -cucumbery and very pretty blue-.
Chives flowers -very peppery- and also Chinese Chives -garlick and pepper- flowers are edible.
I saw a tip in an English tv program to dip dandelion flowers in a thin pancake batter to make Dandelion Fritters, I haven't tried that yet.
Another tip from that program was to sow any kind of pea seeds thickly in a pot and use the young shoots in salads. That one I did try and they are quite good, a bit of a cross between peas and asparagus tastewise.
You can sow those all year round for extra salad leaves or in stir fries.

Please keep making those Gardenfork radioshows, I listen while I do the boring housework, a great way to keep my mind of the tedium!

Mike, on the pressure cooker. Yes it will work, but it will not have the same taste or texture. I use mine, with the toggle top, about once a month, mostly for beans.

Taylor, the weather should be good, now. But, historically it has snowed in Chicago as late as Mother's Day.

      LOL at Chaser Convergence!

Little duckies would make a nice appetizer for a Black Bear!

I've decided on the model that Cook's Illustrated recommends:

      Fagor Duo 8-Quart Pressure Cooker

I've found it for about $90. As soon as the personal budget loosens up, I'll be getting myself one. I'm intrigued by many things you can make in the pressure cooker. A whole chicken in 15 minutes?

I got into storm spotting through the ham radio club I was in a few years back. I have been through several Skywarn classes. I may even have an extra set of books if you are interested. Let me know if you want them.

      Great show!

After you feel omitted and all alone, just seek to close the eye area as it were and think about me. Afterwards, you'll suddenly smile and say, text ko nga ang cute na yon!...
