Quiche is a healthy and fast dinner for the middle of the week or a simple weekend lunch, or breakfast. Check out Eric's Quiche Recipe

Super Easy Cheese and Leftovers Quiche

1 pre made pie crust  ( the kind that comes with a foil pie pan )

    6 eggs

1 ½ cup milk, skim or low fat works for me

Meat Leftovers: turkey, chicken, beef, pork

1 cup Grated Cheddar Cheese , other cheeses are fine, but I like cheddar. you can also mix cheese.

    Preheat oven to 375 degrees

In a bowl mix together the eggs, add the milk, salt & pepper.

    Stir in milk

Cut into meat into small pieces and place in pie crust

Pour egg mixture into pie crust and bake for 30 minutes.

Check at 30 minutes, the quiche should be puffed up a bit and browned slightly. The quiche should not wiggle much when shaken. If it wiggles, bake for another 7 minutes and check again.

Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving, it stays hot for a while.

Love the videos!! You might also look into crusts made with leftovers. I have seen/heard of crusts made of rice and pasta, probably other things too. 😀

      Keep 'em coming!

Just discovered your site.( a link on the Artisan bread site)..congratulations...I'll check you out again.
However, a quck tip for your quiche making. I've been making it for about 20-plus years as Christmas Quiche. Our family has to have it for Christmas breakfast. Similar recipe...I use Pillsbury ( or storebrand) rolled crusts for convenience. 4 eggs, 8 to 10 oz brick of cheese mostly Cheddar, 1 1/2 cups of milk, salt, pepper, pinch of nutmeg , add ingredients to blender for quick and thorough mix....you can make it the night before and store in the refrigerator....but put a label on it...so it isn't mistaken for eggnog ( not a happy sipper!) add your choice of meat, usually crumbled bacon or chopped ham to the mix or the pie crust when you're ready to bake.
However, start at 425 for 15 min. reduce to 375 for additional 15 to 20 min or until golden brown simple and now a great family tradition.

Do you use a wet or moist salt?
